Fancy a cheeky pint ... of water?

Water. Our bodies are made of it. Up to 60% apparently. That's over half. HALF.

During the current testing times; battling Covid-19, dealing with huge life-style changes, and coping with loss and bereavement, we need our health more then ever. Our brains and hearts are made of up to 73% water, and our lungs are about 83% water. We need take care of our vital organs, and keep them in top form, because if Corona lands we all want to be strong enough to fight it off. Water can keep you alert ss hydration helps to keep the brain running smoothly. It can alter your mood and help perk you up if you're feeling low or lethargic.

Routines have and will change over the next few months, and with this your old habits may change too. Even if you're a committed 2-litres-a-day kinda dude, be mindful your intake doesn't drop as we cope with these changes. It's an old-school tactic that people link to childhood - your parents making you have a glass of water after you've fallen over, or if there's been an incident, but you know what, trust the old traditions, they haven't stayed around this long for no reason.

Our skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones contain 31%. At times like this, your loved ones may call on you for support and help, physically and emotionally. To be able to give your all, the whole 100%, you need to remain fully hydrated.

If your family has suffered a loss, drink water. Grief causes tears, which we all welcome with open arms. Let the tears pour and feel the emotion, but make sure you don't become dehydrated. Care for yourself, and for others, and keep the fluid levels up.

I'm making a conscious effort to drink 8 glasses of water a day - check out my instagram story if you want to see my progress, and for all other tips and things to do to keep yourself focused and help you get through the day.
